Yeah, I agree with your points. Article marketing is a cheap but effective way to attract traffic in various methods. Keywords and etc. determine the backlinks that you’ll get. The most important thing is we must have very quality content in order to ensure positive result.

I find the social media and blog commenting to be the most effective when building backlinks to a blog property. As a rule, I love to keep away from doing article marketing, unless I am selling a product and sending the visitor to a website with a good and effective sales funnel, that way I can get paid for my time doing the article.
Another couple of methods I like to use is producing audio and video content, and then submitting to a variety of the biggest directories. Some of these bigger sites (youtube) for example won’t give you a backlink, but it’s a good tactic to generate traffic to your site.
