New Discount Coupon For OIOpublisher!

By Benjamin Cip On September 1, 2009 Under Make Money Online, Review

In the previous post, I reviewed the OIOpublisher Plugin. If you remenber well, last month discount coupon was only $8. Today, I have a great news for you, this month you can grab the OIOpublisher plugin for just $37 if you use my new $10 discount coupon! The new discount coupon is TERRA-BENJ.

As I already reviewed the plugin in the previous post, I will just talk more in details about OIOpublisher plugin and its features.

Payment Currency

With OIOpublisher, you can select all the currency you can find in this page : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_4217#Active_codes, the default currency is USD (US Dollar).

Payment Methods

Here’s the payment methods advertisers can use to pay you :

Offline Payments : You can give intruction to advertisers to pay you offline via check for instance.

EntreCard Payments : You can ask to be paid with EntreCard Credits.

Authorize.net : You can enter your Merchant API Login ID to get payment using authorize.net.

Google Checkout : This option will let advertisers pay using Google Checkout.

PayPal Payments : of course, you can accept Paypal payments.

2Checkout : This option will let advertisers pay using 2Checkout.

Email Templates :

You can change the following Email Templates (the default template are very good and you’d better not change them) :

Purchase Submitted : This is the email the advertiser will receive once he submit his ad on your blog.

Purchase Approved : The advertiser will receive this email if you approved his ad(s), please note that if you choose the option to automatically approve ad(s), this email won’t be sent.

Purchase Rejected : As you can understand from the name, the advertiser will receive this email if you rejected his ad(s), for instance if the ad is not appropriate for your site, you may decide not to publish the ad and this email will automatically be sent to the advertiser which submited the ad.

Purchase Payment Reminder : If an advertiser submited an ad but payment has yet to be received, you can automatically send this default email to the advertiser, if he doesn’t pay, then his ad won’t be published on your blog.

Purchase Expiry : This email will inform the advertiser that his ad will expire soon and that he can renew his ad by clicking on a redirect link.

Purchase Renewal : This email is sent to inform the advertiser that he successfully renewed his ad on your blog.

Purchase Published : This email inform the advertiser that his ad have been published on your blog, and redirect him to the page where his ad is published.

Purchase Promoted From Queue : This email is sent to the advertiser who requested to advertise on your blog when you didn’t have available ad space on your blog. This email inform the advertiser that his ad is put on a queue for a future active opening.

Active Template :

You can change the OIOpublisher Purchase page template design on this page using both the Editing Mode and Theme Editing. Please note that if you change the template design it will make the upgrade less easy.

Text Ads :

In the Text Ads page, you can set the text ads fee, ad duration, the number of links to display in the list, you can also make a link exchange available for free. You can charge an additional %fee for remove the nofollow attribute. You can display default text ad that will disappears when someone purchase text ads on your blog.

Banner Ads :

On this page you have a lot of interesting features. You can create ad zones. The default ad zone is a widget that you can put on the right sidebar, that’s actually the one I am using now. But you can create other ad zone by simply adding a code to the place you want. You can create ad size and decided where to display that kind of ads. You can decided to display ads on rotation (but unless you are john chow, advertisers don’t really like to be displayed on rotation except if you site have a big amount of visits every months). Just like text ads, you can offer banner exchange for free. Remove unfollow attribute if you pay additional fees.

Inline Ads :

You don’t need to setup any zones to use inline ads, as they will be automatically inserted into your post content when enabled. You can select whether to let advertisers buy a video, image, or RSS feed based advertisement within posts. You can set the number of ads to sells etc… (similar to Text ads, and banner ads page), you can choose where to display the ads in post (ex : right or left), you can display same ads in one or many posts. You can decide to shows ads in RSS feed. You can also remove the nofollow attribute in exchange of $$ or for free.

Posts :

On this post you can charge people to post a review on your site, or buy a review written from you. Both for different prices of course. You can set a minimum word per post, the default setting is 100. You can use a Post Flow Control and decide how many posts you will accept everydays, weeks, months…

Custom :

On this page, you can sell your own digital products. You can decided where is the link to the product purchase, its price etc.

As you can see, you can do a lot of great things with this plugin, and for just $37 by using my new $10 discount coupon : TERRA-BENJ, you’ll no doubts get back the money from your little investment! Don’t hesitate to ask me questions if you want to know more about this plugin, and don’t forget , if you buy this plugin from my link, you will be displayed on my blog special deal page, just like the bad blogger, deneil merritt and fazreen (aka Een Rockstar) who bought products from my links.

You’re really pushing it…. I have no choice but to get a hold of OIO soon I suppose :)

Your alexa rank is quite a lot better than mine so I guess you have much better ways of having success with OIO than I would, though.

In fact, I noticed that the new discount price was really interesting, so I thought it would be a good time for talking about OIOpublisher in more details and promote it with the new discount coupon… I’m sorry if it sounds pushy… I hope to make people forget about this pushy post by posting new articles soon!

Indeed, I get a new promo every months. It could be bigger discount as well as smaller discount… it all depends on the OIOpublisher creator decision.

I didn’t mean to say that you were pushy about promoting it (in a bad way), but more that you were pushing me to buy it (not directly though), but it makes me feel more and more that I really need this plugin as I’ve heard a lot of good things about it :)

So I’m considering buying it even more now…

I’ve read that there’s no way to increase the price for an advertiser who purchases a monthly subscription.

So If an advertiser brought a $10 monthly subscription and your blog becomes so successfull that you could easily take $100 a month for that spot, then you can’t do anything about it. You would have to cancel the paypal subscription, and somebody else told me that only the advertiser could do that.

Otherwise I would have thought of simply modifying the terms (if there ARE terms, the advertiser agrees to before the purchase?), to include something along those lines “We reserve the right to cancel any subscription with a 1 month notice, for instance upon price change”. But if only the advertiser can cancel the actual payment (paypal subscription), then that won’t work….

    Any ideas?

Hello Klaus! Don’t worry about it, what you wrote only happen if you Allow the Payment subscription option. If you enable the payment subscription option, you will let advertisers pay the same amount per purchase period indefinitely. I didn’t enable this option as I’m not going to offer a $9 advertisment for my blog forever. I will enable this option only when my blog will reach a certain price I am satisfied with. Just don’t enable the option if you don’t want to let the advertisers subscribe and pay the same amount of money. You may also write a disclaimer saying what you wrote “We reserve the right to cancel any subscription with a 1 month notice, for instance upon price change”, you can give money back to the advertisers in case he is not satisfied with the change. Don’t forget that advertisers can write feedback for you site on the OIOpublisher marketplace, so you should try everything to satisfy them in order to receive good feedback and attract more advertisers… actually I’m not sure advertisers are aware of this feature as I’ve never received feedback so far… maybe I should ask them for feedback!

You’re right, but I would like to be able to offer a subscription, but I guess you could also just set up some other options, like:

    30 days: $9
    60 days: $15
    90 days: $20

So they can purchase one of the above and after the period runs out, so does their ad (and payment), right?

That’s right. You can also offer the option you mentioned above. You can change the price of your ad anytime. Last month, an advertiser bought me a banner ad for $8 for 31 days, and then I changed price and ad duration. Of course it doesn’t affect what the advertisers bought before the price change, but other advertisers will pay the new price. Don’t forget that you can charge advertisers for the removal of the nofollow attribute.

If I were you, I would just charge advertisers on a monthly fee untill you are satisfied with the price. Check how much other bloggers (with same traffic amount) are charging for their ad space and try to sell your ad for competitive price.

The OIOpublisher version 3 will be realised soon, and the creator need contributions. If you buy the OIOpublisher, you could give some ideas to the creator to make some changes about the issue you mentioned. If you don’t write about it, I’ll write about it instead of you on the contribution page of the OIOpublisher site.

I guess I’ll only be buying OIO in the nearest future, if I can make sure that it comes with a free upgrade to version 3.0 when it’s released, do you know that?

Yaro Starak said that the model he’s using, is something with “for every 1000 visitors a day, you can charge $100 a month for an ad” – of course it’s not as simple as it sounds, but just to be a rule of thumb if you have completely no idea as to what you want to charge.

So in my case, it would be around $5 a month.

Once you buy the OIOpublisher plugin, you’ll have lifetime free update as well as a lifetime exposure on theit marketplace, that’s certainly one of the reason that made me buy this great plugin. Plus it’s really an affordable price.

When I bought the OIOpublisher, I only had a $8 discount. It’s the first time since I own OIOpublisher that they offer a $10 discount coupon.

I get about 200-300 visitors everydays, and I am charging the 125×125 banner ads for $9, I will certainly charge the intext ad $20 and header ad $25 as it’s the one I get the most of clicks.

You’re not afraid that ads might “drown” in your sidebar, since you have 14 of them?

I suppose it’s not a problem if you sell the spot for a fixed fee, but if you’re on pay per click or maybe even affiliate sale, I guess it’s better to not to drown the ads?

By the way, I tried to go through your ad-purchase system (without submitting of course), and I didn’t come across any place where the advertiser has to ‘agree’ to terms etc. I wonder why the developer didn’t include something for that?

Yes, I noticed that there are no disclaimer on the page. I noticed in the option that we can write instruction for the advertisers. Maybe you can say that once you purchase an ad on my blog, it means you agree with the terms etc… If you check well, John Chow and some other dot com mogul, don’t have that kind of agreement either…

Does 2checkout supports payments related to PPC or advertising? I think they don’t allow their venders to accept payment related to these services.

    [Reply]

    Benjamin CipNo Gravatar Reply:

I checked the 2checkout website and it was written that “List products & services just about anything” so I think you can sell your own services using the 2checkout payment support. I’m not sure though… do you think offering private ad sell can be seen as a service? Anyway, if the OIOpublisher is allowing 2checkout payments, it’s certainly because we can use it for selling our ad… but I have doubts now, as we can use the OIOpublisher to sell our own products and review services!
