How To Increase Your Blog Traffic
Even if your blog is new in the blogosphere, I can assure you that it’s not hard to get traffic on your blog in less than 40 minutes! You have the possibility to get as much traffic as you want just like other dot com mogul. No need to spend money on so-called “get traffic overnight method” or “adword campaign” anymore!
Don’t get me wrong, the method I will teach you require time and patience. With this method you’ll still have to make some efforts, but they are worth trying as I’m certain they’ll get you traffic. The traffic you will get will depends on how much you work on the following tasks I will teach you.
Write Posts regularly :
It comes without saying that if you don’t post regularly, you won’t get much traffic. The ideal would be to post new articles everydays, at least 3 posts a day. The more you will write, the more you will get traffic.
Just posting articles will bring traffic on your blog, but if you want to turn your visitors into faithful readers that will visit your blog regularly, you will have to write something that they will be interested in, and that they can remember easily.
Here are some kind of posts you should write on your blog :
A# Lists Posts :
You certainly have seen a lot of these posts already. They are quite popular because they are easy and fast to write, and easy to read for your readers. Let’s say that Lists Posts get straight to the point. Remember that time is very precious for everyone, including your readers. If you don’t have time to write something long, then don’t hesitate to write lists posts.
B# How-to-do posts :
How-to-do posts are very popular but take more time to write than Lists posts. Some people prefer these kind of posts over Lists posts because they are more detailed. People like to know how to do something or get rid of an ongoing problem. Just check some forum related to your niche to know what people want to learn.
C# Link Love Posts :
Link Love Posts are articles that gather together links and resources on a special subject or topic such as your favorite blog posts or site.
D# Controversial Posts :
These posts are meant to provoke debate, expose your ideas on a particular subject. They get the attention of your readers and generally gather more comments than other posts because they tend to provoke debate.
E# Contest Posts
No doubts that everyone love contest, if you offer your readers an interesting price, they will be more willing to participate to your contest and become faithful readers. The price could be Logo design, Premium Logo Design, Popular digital product or money!
F# Buzz Posts
Buzz posts are in the trends posts. Whenever a new service, program or system is released, you have to talk about it. For instance, Mac OSX Snow Leopard has been released recently…so you could talk about it.
G# Interview Posts :
Interview posts are easier to write than other posts because you just have to write a few questions and let the interviewer answer them.
H# Terminology Posts :
All the niche use some terms that newbies won’t understand unless you explain them. Terminology posts are written to teach the definition of these terms to people who don’t understand them. You’ll be surprised to see the traffic that those posts bring to your blog.
I# Timeless Posts :
The Timeless posts are posts that never get old. No matter if you read them next year or in 20 years. These post are great for bringing passive traffic to your blog. The more you will write that kind of post, the more you’ll get passive traffic.
Talking about passive traffic, I’ve listed all the social media site you should subscribe to. You won’t have any excuse for not having traffic on your blog anymore now!
Submit Posts On Social Media Network :
Here’s a list of social media networks you can use to increase your blog traffic. You can also submit your older posts as long as they have never been submited before.

Whoa, Ben?! 3 posts a day?! I think you mistyped “a week” to “a day”, man. ^-^
On another note, I just realized that all of the posts in my site belong to a particular type of post. Maybe I should mix and match other type of posts as well. Thanks for the list of the social media sites though.

Hey Andi, Thank you for your comment!
you’re right 3 posts a day could be “too much” for some of us, but If you write at least 3 posts a day, you’ll rank higher on google search engine because google love content. Don’t forget to use “All in one seo plugin” if your blog isn’t search engine friendly.
Concerning the posts, it’s always good to mix different kind of posts I mentioned to prevent your readers from being bored by reading the same kind of articles everytime. People seems to like diversity.

Blog Traffic — don’t we all desire that? ^^ This is one thorough and resourceful list, even some I have never came across of (social media networks). What really bothers much newbies is that building traffic requires time + effort. It’s not some get-rich-quick scheme and certainly won’t work if you desire for quality traffic — the ones who really listen and respond to your posts.
It’s amazing that the question still been brought up over and over again in forums and various social media sites. I’m going to bookmark this site and perhaps go through the sites I missed. Hopefully to find some gems within. Consider this dug! ^^

Indeed, we all love traffic… let’s say that traffic is vital for our blog! Of course I prefer when I receive quality traffic. What I call quality traffic is when someone find your blog because he is interested in the content. We sometimes receive traffic by mistakes because of a misuse of keyword that lead visitors to your site.
I wish I’d bring more and more commentators on my blog, that’s why I’ll try to write more than one post by day and see how the traffic will increase. It’s an exellent case study I’ll experiment! Easier said than done though…

Great points Ben. That is the one thing I do not do yet and that is to submit my posts to more social networks. I just submit them to Blogengage, which brings us quite a bit of traffic, but submitting to all the others as well would probably work much better.
On another note… How do you like the theme upgrade? I have not downloaded it yet as it is in rar format and I was hoping Carl would send me a copy in a zip. One other thing… I HATE comments that read from latest posts down and I have read most other people do as well. Are you stuck leaving it this way with the new theme?

I think you have mentioned some key points, and although I am not a regurlar writer on my blog, I still seem to attract a fair amount of people to it.
I think we all work very hard, at increasing traffic usage to our site. I think it is not the amount so much that matters, it is how we build up connections and learn from one another that counts.
Thank you so much for dropping by my site. I appreciate your first visit.

If you already have some faithful readers that’s the most important. But you have to update your blog from time to time to make it looks “alive”… a blog not updated regularly doesn’t generate much traffic unless the informations inside really interest people because they answer the question of a problem etc..
